Evan Kirkelos

Chiropractor, Kinesiologist

Evan’s interest in rehabilitation and performance stemmed from childhood while playing competitive soccer, basketball, and golf. He has lived in Ancaster his whole life, both going to school and playing sports on local teams growing up. The end of personal competition started a new life in the sports world where he moved to the other side to work as a strength and conditioning coach. For the past 7 years, Evan has worked with individuals and teams at both the professional and collegiate level in achieving greater performance in sport. In a recent transition of the last few years, Evan has combined manual therapy techniques with his experience in exercise prescription to focus on rehabilitation of neuro-musculoskeletal injury.

Evan earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College and his Bachelor of Science – Kinesiology (Honours) from McMaster University. Since graduating, he has taken postgraduate courses in neurofunctional acupuncture and spinal stenosis management protocols.

Evan believes that every individual deserves the same expertise, resources, and care that high performance athletes are entitled to, and his goal is to bring exactly that to everyone in Ancaster at the Foot Knee Back Clinic. His mission is to be a catalyst with patient care in addition to partnering with the individual to take control of their own rehabilitation outside of the clinic. More specifically, Evan’s approach begins with a thorough assessment and diagnosis, which is then combined with treatment techniques that include manual therapy, neurofunctional acupuncture, patient education and exercise prescription.
